NICO and ICO development reels
Some footage from the conceptual design stages of 'Shadow of the Colossus', when it was still known as NICO, has been floating around the internet for a while now. In fact, if you put your SoTC disc into your computer and take a look, you'll see that the main resource file is still called NICO.dat :)Similar footage from ICOs early stages is also available. It seems that originally Yorda had the horns. At one point you'll also notice glowing markings on Yordas arm bearing a resemblance to the vulnerable spots (*ahem*, i mean "special magical weak points") of the Colossi.

Any way you could point me to a place to download that dvd? It's virtually impossible for me to play it on my dvd players, so importing it would be useless.
The Ico video on there had lots of things that surprised me. It seemed like it took place in more contemporary times for a while. It looked like a florescent light bulb near the couch one scene with proto-yorda.

verlogh: i found those clips online - they're not from a dvd. i think they might be from a presentation Fumito Ueda gave on the games development.
apparently people who preordered the japanese version recieved a dvd about the games development - i'm dying to get my hands on that.
well - i suppose they might be from a dvd, but that's not where i got them.
I've been trying to find a torrent of the dvd, but no such luck so far.
I'm assuming the other videos you've been posting are made by you. I usually check blogs while I'm at work, and as a fellow SotC fan, you know how the game can be like a mini-vacation. I just like seeing people wander around the land. So if you're still doing this, keep those videos coming. Even if they aren't anything really interesting.
Unfortunately I have no way of capturing video while away from school - usually I'd record to a VHS and then use the librarys equipment. Maybe i'll look into getting my own video capture device.

Is there any way to get those videos other than on google video? I'd really love to be able to save them so I can show my friends without the 'net who love these games... the link given in the other topic didn't work, and googling it has come up with nothing...
