I found that if you stand around for a long time in the temple, the doves break into a weird synchronized dance routine! I left the game running and wandered off for like a half hour, and when I came back they were doing their thing. I haven't seen this posted anywhere else online, so maybe I was just hallucinating...
The doves do some strange things. The first time I played it through, the would frequently all be laying dead on the steps. I looked it up but no seemed to post anything about the dead doves. It freaked me out o.o
For each defeated colossus a white dove takes residence near the temple alter.
